Keep in mind that the turnaround time doesn’t begin until I receive your design details and you approve of it, so be sure to email me as soon as you can once you place your order. Also, once your cap topper design is approved and painted, no changes will be made unless it is an error made by me. WHAT IS AN “EXTRA DESIGN ELEMENT”?
All of my Grad Cap Toppers automatically include florals into the price. If you would like to add an extra design element to the cap design (such as a butterfly, stethoscope, banner, globe, mascot, apple, etc), you will need to choose either a SMALL or LARGE design element. Please note, I DO NOT paint dogs or people.
ADD A SMALL DESIGN ELEMENT IF:
You want to include one small design element such as a butterfly, stethoscope, ekg strip, medical tools, teacher tools/supplies, state shapes, or any other small symbol.
ADD A LARGE DESIGN ELEMENT IF:
You want more than one small design element
OR
You want to have a more detailed design element such as a banner, landscape (trees, mountains, sky, waves), mascot, birds, logo, etc.
HOW TO ORDER:
I will need the following in order to complete your order—If you are unsure what category your design falls under, please reach out to me before placing your order at kathrynannart@gmail.com Be sure to check your junk mail for my response! Prices are subject to change once order is placed according to the design you’re wanting.
The design you’re wanting (I DO NOT paint dogs or people). If you see a design I’ve previously done (refer to pictures to see a bunch) email me the picture and I would be happy to recreate it for you. Please be VERY SPECIFIC about your design.
Background Cap Color (exact color shade) (I DO NOT use glitter paper or any 3D elements)
Custom Words (quote, name, major, “Class of 2024”, etc.)
Lettering Color (Gold, Rose Gold, Champagne, Pink, White, Black)
Placement (i.e. 2024 below quote or in bottom corner)
From there, I can help you out on the design layout if needed and then send you a mock-up for you to approve/make small adjustments to. Please be sure that you have a set idea of what you want your design to be because once I send the mock-up, there will only be an opportunity to make small adjustments/corrections to that particular design. There will be an extra fee if you would like another mock-up with a brand new design. I will do my best to bring your custom design to life through my detailed art!
FAQ’s
DO I NEED TO SEND MY GRAD CAP IN?
No — this is a topper that you attach to your cap. You do not send your actual grad cap to me nor do I supply one to you. The topper is a thick, durable piece of card stock.
HOW DO I ATTACH THE TOPPER TO MY CAP?
Option 1:
1. Take off the tassel holder button on the top (most buttons twist off or can be popped off, but do not force it).
2. Line up the edges of the topper with the cap (make sure it’s facing the right way) and press down over the metal spike that sticks up the middle.
3. Once the topper is securely placed down on the spike, place the button back on top.
4. Hot glue/tape the topper to your cap so it will stay put.
Option 2: (if you cannot remove the tassel button)
1. Take a sharp blade and cut a small circle in the middle of the topper.
2. Wiggle the hole you’ve created on your topper through the button on the center of your cap.
3. Line up the edges of the topper with the cap (make sure it’s facing the right way)
4. Hot glue/tape the topper to your cap so it will stay put.
5. If the hole rips a little while putting it through, touch it up with some super glue and it won’t even be noticeable!
Due to varying button sizes on grad caps, I do not cut a circle in the middle of toppers to ensure the hole is not too big or too small. Without a universal button size, I cannot guarantee that the hole will fit over your button or not leave a huge gap around it.
CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS:
Being that this is a custom order, I can only accept cancellations of orders within 24 hours of purchase to receive a full refund. Once a design proof is sent, only a partial refund will be given. Once the design proof has been approved, there will be no refund.
