This particular scene here is extra special for me. I went fishing with my dad a couple of years ago in Pat Bay, Louisiana and took a photo that I’ve had saved ever since (see the last pic). I knew I eventually wanted to paint it, but it was a little intimidating because I wasn’t able to get the perfect composition in the picture. When I started mapping out this collection, I came upon the picture again while looking for inspiration and I was finally ready for the challenge.
The title, In the Midst, reflects who my dad is to me. He’s always always always there for me any time I need him. In the midst of challenges. In the midst of happiness. In the midst of stillness. In the midst of anything this life brings. He’s there in the midst of it all.
Presentation Options
Unframed— Original painting is presented on the canvas alone with the scene thoughtfully continued around all edges. This finished-edge design creates a clean, modern look, allowing the piece to be displayed beautifully with or without a frame. (Please allow 1-3 days to ship your original)

Local pickup is available from my location in Central, Louisiana. Please email kathrynannart@gmail.com right after purchasing your original if you would like to schedule a pickup. Otherwise, shipping will be calculated separately based on location and will be invoiced after purchase. This set will be carefully packaged and fully insured.
